There are plenty of hotels in Monaco, but if you are looking for elegant and luxurious accommodations, you should consider the select few.
This luxurious hotel looks out over the Main Harbor in Monaco, so be prepared for gorgeous views from your hotel room! Each room offers a historic touch with all the amenities that you could desire. During your stay, you should be inclined to visit the Thermes Marins Monte-Carlo Spa and Pool, while also dining at Le Vistimar, the on-site restaurant.
If you love the glitz and glam of Las Vegas, you will love the style of the Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel and Resort. Every room in this hotel offers modern design and décor and you will spend more time out on your balcony than inside, thanks to the views of the pool and the sea. The sandy bottomed lagoon is perfect for a little swim, but don’t forget to relax afterwards in a lounger, as the nearby palm trees sway in the breeze.
This hotel is only steps away from Niki Beach, which is the star of Monaco during the summer months. The rooms are quite spacious, but you will spend most of your time on the rooftop. It is up there that you can swim in the pool and spot incredible views of all of Monaco.
When it comes to attractions, Monaco has so many that you could spend weeks in this part of the world and still not see them all. Here are a few of our favourites:
We all wish we could live in a palace but visiting the Palais du Prince may be as close as you ever get. Want to know if the Prince is there? simply look for the flag. If it is flying high, then he is currently in the palace. If you are able to take a tour, you must spend some time in the gallery, Blue Room, Palatine Chapel, and Throne Room.
These exotic gardens can be found right outside the city center and they have been delighting visitors since 1933. The warm weather of the area allows many different plants and flowers to grow and prosper in the gardens. Currently, you can see more than seven thousand different species, but your favorite part might be the stalactites and stalagmites inside the Observatory Cave.
The Opera de Monte Carlo can be found within Place de Casino and it has been there since it was constructed in 1878. If you take a tour, you will see that most of the décor is red and gold. There are also numerous sculptures and frescoes and they all have intricate details that you should pay close attention to. While the tours are fabulous, there is nothing better than watching an opera or ballet performance and seeing the magic that is created up on the stage.
Whether you are or not a gambler, the casino will mesmerize you for sure. it’s a masterpiece you must visit. The casino was constructed back in 1893, each gaming room has a different theme, and several restaurants with terrasse.
There is nowhere more peaceful than the Princess Grace Rose Garden. Prince Rainier III created this garden to honor his late wife. There are more than eight thousand rose bushes in this garden, as well as a lake, palm trees, and an olive grove. It is the perfect place to visit when you are looking for some peace and quiet.
Not an attraction, but you should go there for a drink and admire this building with a “yacht architecture”. Casual but elegant outfit required. The Yacht club terrasse and bar is open to everybody no need to be a member of the yacht club.
You never know what the days will bring when you are vacationing over in Monaco. However, you will know that each one will be filled with something that you truly love.
Everyone loves to shop when they are visiting Monaco, especially since there are so many upscale options. If you are looking for luxury items, and designer fashions, turn your attention to both LE METROPOLE, Avenue Princess Grace and Boulevard des Moulins. It is in those areas that you will find everything that you are looking for and much more from DIOR to GUCCI, St LAURENT, RALPH & RUSSO and more.
When ? From June to September
There are so many festivals held in Monaco every single year. Make sure to plan your vacation right, you should be able to attend at least one of them. Here some of my favorite festivals :
Monte Carlo Sporting Summer Festival
Since its creation, the Monte-Carlo Sporting Summer Festival has earned the reputation of bringing the biggest stars to its stage ( John Legend, Sting, Enrique Iglesias, BÔCCA an exclusive performance by Cirque du Soleil and many more).
Backed by more than 150 years of Monte-Carlo magic, the festival and its exceptional programming continue to put Monaco, the Salle des Etoiles and the Opéra Garnier Monte-Carlo at the top of the summer.
Each one offers something unique, as well as plenty of opportunities to mingle with the locals and have an amazing time!
When ? all time
Make sure to relax in between all the adventures! what about adding a little time at the spa into your itinerary? Most hotels have their own spa, the one at the Fairmont Monte Carlo is my favorite. During the planning stages, it is important to find the attractions and activities that will interest you the most. Make sure to schedule in plenty of downtime too. The region is known for allowing you to return home nice and relaxed.
Vacationing in Monaco is an experience that you will treasure for the rest of your life ! Take take photo along the way. Monaco is the perfect background for a photoshoot. Beauty is really everywhere!
The magic of Christmas arrives every year at “Quai Albert 1er” starting with the first week of December. Artefacts have a place of choice in the chalet shops as do regional gastronomic specialties in the food chalets.
When ? From first week of December to Juanuary 15th.
